RAK, UAE – Ras Al Khaimah, known for its stunning landscapes, now offers an opportunity to witness its vistas from the skies above, all thanks to an extraordinary hot air balloon experience.
For the very first time, visitors can catch a glimpse of the emirate’s expansive sand dunes, as well as the majestic Al Hajar mountain range, while floating in a hot air balloon.
Embarking on a 50-70-minute expedition, participants are treated to breathtaking views of Jebel Jais, the emirate’s highest peak, as well as the Al Marjan Island and other sights that seem to stretch beyond the horizon.
Unveiled by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) last April, this leisure experience allows visitors to ascend nearly 30 meters above the Earth’s surface.
This initiative not only aims to showcase the emirate’s natural beauty but also emphasizes the importance of environmental preservation, aligning with the UAE’s commitment to sustainable tourism.
Under the guidance of the General Civil Aviation Authority, the hot air balloon flights are operated by skilled pilots with extensive experience in hot air ballooning.
