Dubai has been ranked the second-best expatriate destination in InterNations’ 2022 Expat City Ranking. The survey, which is based on the opinions of around 12,000 expatriates from 177 nations, discovered that Dubai excelled in several important areas, including ease of settling in and expat quality of life.
Valencia, Spain, got the top place in the rating, although Dubai performed well, especially in terms of working with local officials. In Dubai, an amazing 66% of foreigners stated that dealing with local officials was simple, compared to only 40% overall. Furthermore, 88% of expats were satisfied with the availability of government services online, compared to 61% worldwide.
Dubai also fared well in the Working Abroad Index, finishing sixth. Expats were content with their work, with 70% indicating satisfaction compared to 64% overall. Furthermore, 78% of foreigners said the local corporate culture supported creativity, compared to 51% worldwide.
Dubai ranked eighth in the Ease of Settling In Index, with expats saying that they felt welcomed in Dubai (81% vs. 66% internationally) and had a nice social life (68% satisfied vs. 56% generally). Furthermore, virtually all expats (95%) were happy with vehicle infrastructure, compared to 75% internationally. Dubai also fared well in the Quality of Life Index, finishing sixth.
The InterNations 2022 Expat City Ranking shows Dubai as an attractive destination for expats searching for a city that is simple to settle in, has a high quality of life, and a strong business culture.
