DMW: Singapore eyes to hire more Filipino health workers

Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Toots Ople revealed that the Singaporean government is planning to hire more Filipino healthcare workers in Singapore.

Ople said that the Singaporean government has reached out about their need for Filipino medical personnel.

Ople adds that a joint communique will be released this week with the Singaporean Health Ministry.

In his state visit to Singapore, President Bongbong Marcos said this would mean thousands of jobs for Filipinos.

“Singapore was already our highest investor in 2021, and we have Singaporean companies with big ticket projects in areas of telcos, infrastructure, start-up and innovation, renewable energy and healthcare,” Marcos said.

“That’s why our economic team ay makikipagkita sa mga possible investor na maglalagay ng negosyo sa Pilipinas,” he added.
