Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople said that Taiwan plans to hire some 20,000 Filipino workers before the end of this year.
Apart from Taiwan, Ople said that Germany and Singapore are also looking for Filipino professionals to work in the IT sector and healthcare field.
“The good news is that Facebook Singapore is actually hiring Filipino workers. For the first time, Facebook has requested for accreditation as an employer which speaks a lot about the excellence of our Filipino IT professionals and Grab Singapore, another multinational brand, is also keen on hiring from us,” Ople said in a briefing in Indonesia.
