New Zealand has announced that its borders are now open after being shut down for over two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
New Zealand’s borders started reopening in February first for New Zealanders. Restrictions have been gradually eased since then.
“Pleased that today, New Zealand has officially reopened its borders at ngayon ay tumatanggap na ng visa applications mula sa Pilipinas at iba pang mga bansa. See links for more info. Haere Mai! We look forward to welcoming you & excited kaming muling ibahagi ang ganda ng NZ,” New Zealand Ambassador Peter Kell said in a tweet.
Under its immigration rules student, visitor and work visa applications are open.
“Visa waiver travellers and work, working holiday, visitor and student visa holders can leave and return to New Zealand, if their visa conditions allow for this,” the New Zealand government said.
Travelers are required to present proof of vaccination before arriving to New Zealand.
