Authorities in UAE will step up COVID-19 inspections amid violations of protocols in public places.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) said inspections would be tightened after spike in cases over the past few weeks which had decreased to below 200 in April before the 300-mark.

In July nearly 1,800 cases were reported daily on the first four days.
“We stress the importance of social responsibility. We are committed to implementing all Covid safety measures to ensure recovery,” an NCEMA spokesperson said while urging residents to follow all preventive measures during travel.
