The Philippines’ Department of Social Welfare and Development have debunked rumors that they will be giving cash handouts for the upcoming elections.
This, after fake posts in the name of the aforementioned agency went viral on social media ahead of the May 9 presidential election. The said post promised “P10K aid for all voters.”
“Message us so we can send you the financial aid immediately,” read the graphic posted on Facebook on April 27.
