The Dubai Police have warned of AED fines on sale and purchase of illegal fireworks during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the General Department of Organisation Protective Security and Emergency, has said that an awareness campaign titled ‘Celebrate Safely’ has been launched to by the Dubai Police against use of fireworks.

The police statement said that public should ensure safety during Eid Al Fitr celebrations. Besides the fine, violators will be sentenced to a one-year prison term.
The police have urged residents to keep their children from playing with fireworks.
