Sharjah Police have reminded of AED 600 fine and 6 black points for common traffic violations during a campaign on adherence to traffic rules.
According to the Traffic and Patrols Department at the Sharjah Police General Command, a traffic awareness campaign was launched in conjunction with the Ministry of Interior’s campaign “Your Commitment to Your Safety”.
It was aimed at enhancing traffic awareness among motorists and demonstrating the importance of adhering to the various traffic regulations.

Lieutenant-Colonel Omar Bughanim, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police, said that the campaign, which was launched in conjunction with the campaign of the Ministry of Interior, “demonstrates the negative repercussions, as a result of not following the traffic regulations and instructions that enhance road safety.”
Lt. Col. Bughanim said that the Federal Traffic and Traffic Law and its implementing regulations indicated that the wrongdoer will be liable to a fine of AED 600 and 6 traffic points. The driver who commits a violation of not giving way to vehicles that have the priority of the next road shall be punished.
