Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who generated their VaxCertPH before February 7, 2022, need to secure the new version.
This comes after the Department of Health (DOH) announced that the digital vaccination certificate was updated with added security features.
The QR code of the previous vaccination certificates will become outdated and unreadable, according to DOH.
Currently, the VaxCertPH is accepted in at least 35 countries including the United Arab Emirates.
OFWs may update their digital vaccination certificate through this link: http://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph. They may also generate their own QR codes from their respective local government units.
Meanwhile, in an advisory, the Department of Foreign Affairs reminded OFWs traveling to the UAE to register on the digital platform of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship before travel.
