Pacquiao vows to invite 10 billionaires to invest in PH, ease business laws if elected as President

Presidential aspirant Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquaio has vowed to woo foreign direct investments to the country by using his global celebrity clout.

Pacquiao, revealing that he has at least 10 international billionaire friends who are committed to investing in the Philippines, said their only concern is rampant corruption in the country.

Pacquiao was quoted as saying that once elected, he will ask Congress to legislate sweeping tax reforms to foster a better investment climate for the Philippines.

The senator also vowed to stop bureaucratic red tape by strengthening Republic Act 11032 or the “Ease of Doing Business” law to ensure that all business permits and other documents required to do business are processed in not more than three days. (AW)
