Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has signed an order removing the mandatory face shield policy in the city except in public transportation and hospital settings.
In an order, Moreno cited the stand of the Department of Interior and Local Government supporting the removal of the face shield requirement.
Davao and Iloilo City have already removed the mandatory face shield policy pending the decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the face shield policy.
The Department of Health said that they still need a week to finalize its decision on the mandatory face shield policy use.
So far, current guidelines allow not wearing of plastic barriers in outdoor areas.
