The authorities in UAE have urged the members of the public to follow COVID-19 protocols while attending the Commemoration Day and the 50th UAE National Day functions.
The advisory has come during the weekly briefing on the coronavirus situation in the country.

Organizers of the event are required to form specialized teams to ensure that everyone is adhering to the COVID-19 “protocol and its guidelines.”
Authorities have also urged the attendees to maintain social distance, avoid shaking hands or hugging each other when taking photos, and have advised that a proper distance shall be maintained.
The authorities have also asked organizers to sanitize public areas regularly and install sanitization stations at the entry and exit of public washrooms.

The residents have also been urged to follow up on local authorities’ protocols and strictly adhere to their guidelines during the entire period of national celebrations.
An official said that it was important that safety guidelines were adhered to and “preventive measures are also taken to reopen gradually and return to normalcy, in order to ensure sustainable recovery.” (AW)
