Four people were arrested for reckless driving in Sharjah after a long chase by police.
The motorists drove recklessly on an internal road thereby putting their lives and those of others at risk. The police patrols rushed to the area found that the cars were driven recklessly on a road that had a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour.

In a Facebook post, police said that on seeing the patrols the drivers fled from the place.
The personnel from the police control room used smart cameras and other traffic systems to identify the vehicles and determine their location following which the drivers were arrested and referred to the authorities concerned for further legal action.

Authorities urged motorists to adhere to all traffic laws. The police warned that overspeeding was one of the main causes of accidents. (AW)
