Children between 3 to 11 years of age will get the COVID-19 jabs from today in Bahrain. This followed approval by Bahrain’s National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) for the same.
Children aged 3 to 11 will be eligible to receive two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine starting Wednesday, October 27.

The decision was taken following a thorough review of all medical health and safety recommendations conducted by the Vaccination Committee.
Moreover, Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will soon be approved for children aged 5 to 11 who will get two vaccine doses.

The Medical Taskforce has called upon eligible children to get vaccinated to protect themselves, their families, and the general public health. The registration for children for the vaccination has to be done on the Ministry of Health’s website at: healthalert.gov.bh or on the BeAware application.
The registration requires the consent of a legal guardian and the children must also have an adult accompanying them when receiving their vaccination. (AW)
