Prices of PH-UAE flights has shot up as the Philippines’ travel ban on 10 countries including the UAE is lifted starting today, Sept. 6.
According to travel agents in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, they have received double the normal number of flight inquiries leading to significant increase in air fare.
Tickets now range from AED 4,000 to AED 8,000 for the month of September.
Currently, only Filipinos, foreign spouses, parents and children of Filipinos, and several categories of foreigners are allowed to enter the country.
Foreign nationals allowed to enter the Philippines are those with valid and existing visas, entry exemption documents, as well as diplomats. Tourists remain subject to a COVID-19 travel ban.
Cebu Pacific, Emirates, Etihad Airlines, and Philippine Airlines are some of the major airlines flying from the UAE to the Philippines and vice versa.
