Cebu Pacific to mount another Dubai Bayanihan flight on August 25

Cebu Pacific will be mounting another Bayanihan flight from Dubai on August 25.

The Bayanihan flights were paid commercial flights launched to assist stranded overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the Middle East due to the prevailing travel restrictions.

Passengers of so-called Bayanihan flights will get free meals and additional baggage allowance.

Passengers who pre-purchased baggage allowance of 40 kg will get an additional 25-kg baggage allowance, according to Cebu Pacific.

“With this special offer, passengers on the Bayanihan flights to Manila will be able to bring home more items without having to worry about paying extra fees,” the airline said in a statement.

“We continue to listen to our passengers’ needs, and we want to do all we can to ease some of our kababayans’ worries through this additional baggage allowance. We want them to travel and come home with peace of mind, especially in this time of crisis,” Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience added.

The bayanihan flight was mounted through the efforts of the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Foreign Affairs Department.

Passengers will be required to wear face masks and shields, present negative RT-PCR test results and quarantine for 14 days as part of health protocols.

They will be tested 7 days after arrival for COVID-19.
