You need to follow the six steps for the residence permit:

First, you can log on to any of the two digital channels to set up a digital identity account or access e-services in case of prior registration.

Just select the service of “Issuing a residence permit” and once you have submitted the required documents and reviewed and updated the data and after paying the fee the application for issuing an ID card can be submitted right away. But that still doesn’t give the permit until you have delivered your passport to the delivery company which will fix a residency sticker on it.

Not only this, you can get the virtual work residence permits too by following5 steps starting with logging in to the personal account to create your digital identity.

Once that is done, select the targeted service as Residence and sub-service as a virtual work resident sponsor. After the type of procedure is filled in as residence issuance and the data is uploaded you can revise the application and finally pay the fees.

To help people get permits, ICA has updated its electronic application and integrated the identity, citizenship and residency services into a unified application– ICA UAE SMART– that remains available on app stores.

The roll out of the virtual permits has come months after Cabinet approved the creation of the first virtual work residence permit of its kind in the region.

Meanwhile, the authorities after closing Al Karama Happiness Centre from 1 July have relocated it to the new headquarters at Al Ghazal Shopping Center located in 2nd December Street at Al Bada`a area, Dubai which is delivering the services from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. (AW)
