The Philippines ranked sixth among the top countries globally that often tweet about esports and gaming, according to 2021 data by Twitter Gaming Insights.
Japan, United States, South Korea, Brazil and Thailand are in the top spots for this activity, while India, United Kingdom, France and Spain were ranked behind the Philippines, the data showed.

The Philippines rose three ranks compared to its ninth ranking last 2020.
Twitter stated that while mainstay games remain in the hearts and discussions of Filipinos, their gamers also displayed their support for their favorite teams and players. It also added that the most popular games that netizens in the Philippines tweeted about in the first half of 2021 include: Genshin Impact, Valorant, Roblox, Minecraft, and Among Us.
