Vice President Leni Robredo is heartbroken over the passing of former President Noynoy Aquino III.
In a Twitter post, Robredo called the former president a good friend and an honest President.
“Nakakadurog ng puso ang balitang wala na si PNoy. Mabuti siyang kaibigan at tapat na Pangulo,” Robredo said in a statement.

“Nakikiramay ako sa kanyang pamilya,” she added.
Robredo said that the former President always acts without fanfare.
“He tried to do what was right, even when it was not popular. Tahimik at walang pagod siyang nagtrabaho para makatulong sa marami,” she said.

Robredo and Aquino were partymates under the Liberal Party.
