Former Vice President Jojo Binay joins the nation in mourning the death of former President Noynoy Aquino.
Aquino died on Thursday morning. The family has yet to issue an official statement.
Binay was Aquino’s vice president from 2010 to 2016. He also served as the housing chief under the late president’s term.

“Noynoy and I may have had political differences during the last few years of his term, but that will not diminish the many years of friendship between our families,” Binay said.
Binay also served under the term of former President Cory Aquino, Noynoy’s mother.
“My deepest condolences to the family. Godspeed, Pareng Noy,” Binay said.

Binay’s daughter Senator Nancy Binay also expressed her condolences to the family.
