Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health has issued a fine against a healthcare facility for altering the fixed price of PCR tests.
In a statement, the facility did not comply with the AED65 fixed rate set for a single run of PCR test.
DoH said the price was revised by the circular No. (2021/35).

Last week, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) clarified the rate remains “consistent across its network of screening facilities”.
Meanwhile, DoH urged healthcare facilities across the emirate to adhere to the fixed price of the COVID-19 PCR test.
The department warned those who imposed any additional fees or made any discounts on the test will be penalized.

DoH explained that the cost of the PCR test would be covered by the individuals themselves should they visit the healthcare facilities without any symptoms.
In other cases, the cost would be covered under the government-funded programmes. (RA)
