An ‘infographic’ has been displayed by the Ministry of Health on its Twitter account and its awareness platform “Live Well,” which highlights in detail the obesity risks and associated diseases, including immune deficiency and blood clotting.
Obesity-associated diseases that increase the risk of infections included diabetes, heart disease, “moderate to severe” asthma, high blood pressure, as well as liver and lung diseases and metabolic syndrome, the Ministry stated. (AW)
