Manila Police: Female model facing assault raps is a ‘drug courier’

DEVELOPING STORY: The 26-year-old female model, who was arrested after she was caught in a viral video assaulting a Manila traffic enforcer, was found to be a “drug courier”, according to the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO).

In a statement on Friday, MPIO said: “Napag-alamang drug courier ang babaeng traffic violator na nagmaneho nang walang lisensya at nanakit ng enforcer sa Malate, ayon sa ulat ng MPD SMaRT.”

It added that her alleged accomplices in the drug operation have been arrested in Manila.

“Arestado rin ang mga kasabwat nito sa isang operasyon na naganap sa tapat ng Universidad de Manila,” the statement added.

It was not immediately known how the police were able to identify the model named Pauline Altamirano as a drug courier.

Mayor Isko Moreno on Friday talked to the arrested drug peddlers.

“Ah kaya pala malakas ang loob ng babae na manapak ng enforcer… Sokpa nyo sa oble ‘yan.”

On Thursday, cases of direct assault and driving without a license were lodged against Altamirano.

She was captured in the video beating up MTPB enforcer Marcos Anzures Jr. after their mobile crew chased her for jumping the red light along Osmeña Highway in Malate, Manila on Thursday.

Altamirano can be seen in the video repeatedly assaulting the traffic enforce while asking for her OR/CR back.

According to MTPB, she failed to present a driver’s license and instead gave a copy of her OR/CR.

When she was asked to follow them to the impounding area, she began assaulting Anzures.
