The UAE has extended its travel ban on India until May 14.
According to a circular tweeted by Emirates Airlines, the travel suspension is extended for 10 days until May 14.
“Passengers who have transited to India are not permitted to board from any other point to the UAE,” the circular read.
Earlier, the UAE government had barred entry for all travelers from India from April 24 to May 5.
Excluded from the travel suspension are UAE nationals and diplomatic missions between the two countries, official delegations, businessmen’s planes and Golden Visa holders, provided that they present a negative Covid-19 PCR certificate taken within 48 hours prior to boarding.
They are required to take RT-PCR tests on the fourth and eighth days of entry.
Meanwhile, all cargo flights between the two countries remain unaffected.
