An Arab woman in Sharjah has committed 414 traffic violations in Ajman in the last three years, resulting in a fine worth AED247,490.
The Ajman Police said in a report on the Gulf Today that the woman was apprehended by traffic patrols on Wednesday.
Major Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, Head of Traffic Investigation and Control Department at the Traffic and Patrols Department of the Ajman Police, said that police patrols were able to identify the vehicle whose driver committed 414 violations.
This means that the driver commits four violations per week over a period of three years.
Authorities said that the car will be impounded until the driver pays its violations in full.
The driver’s violations were a result of negligence and lack of attention to the speed limit of roads.The Ajman Police said that if she failed to pay the full amount within six months, the car will be sold in a public auction,.
“She will not be able to do any traffic transactions until the amount due is paid,” Major Rashid Humaid added. (TDT)
