LOOK: Customs nabs 25 reptiles worth Php 300,000 at NAIA

The Bureau of Customs barred the unauthorized transport of 25 reptiles at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last Thursday, February 18.

Authorities caught two cobras, eight pit vipers, and 15 sailfin lizards who were all hidden within bamboo chimes. The animals were supposed to be sent to Taiwan.

Customs estimates that the total amount of the animals cost around Php300,000.

The animals were initially declared as ‘souvenir items’ by a man named “Adrian Lim” from the city of Pasig.
