Typhoon ‘Ulysses’ maintains strength bringing heavy rainfall, increased risks of storm surge, landslides

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has forecast Typhoon ‘Ulysses’ to continue bringing strong winds, heavy rainfall and risks of landslides and storm surge at select areas in Luzon.

The weather bureau stated that while the typhoon has weakened, residents in the Philippines can continue to expect destructive typhoon-force winds of up to 170 km/h in the next 18 hours.

Reports from PAGASA’s latest weather bulletin further that there’s a high risk of storm surge with heights of up to 3.0 m over the coastal areas of Aurora, northern Quezon including Polillo Islands, Cavite, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, and Zambales.
