RULE-BREAKERS: Dubai resident fined AED 10,000 (Php 132,000) for hosting overcrowded yacht party

A pilot from Dubai is currently facing a huge fine of AED 10,000 (Php 132,000) for hosting a yacht party for over 25 people.

The Dubai Police announced via Twitter that the guests were not wearing face masks and failed to follow the UAE’s strict social distancing requirements.

Following the UAE’s COVID-19 regulations, each of the host’s 25 guests will also face a fine of AED 5,000 (Php 66,000).

Earlier, Dubai authorities have fined another celebrity after violating coronavirus protocols for throwing a party. The Arab woman was fined Dh10,000 in penalty by the police for organizing a house party with many guests including some social media influencers.

Authorities remind the public to strictly adhere to the precautionary measures announced by the local authorities, and to report violators via the (Police Eye) service on smartphones, or by contacting the Dubai Police Call Centre (901).
