A wedding hall was ordered closed by the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Department (RAKDED) for its supposed violation of COVID-19 safety measures.
RAKDED, on their Instagram account, stated that a wedding celebration was held without prior approvals and for not following precautionary measures and instructions issued by the official authorities.

In a report on Khaleej Times, authorities also imposed a fine on the wedding hall. The party also violated rules on social distancing and of wearing masks in public places.
Recently, the Abu Dhabi Police visited a house where a wedding was being held despite government orders not to conduct mass gatherings and celebrations.
Violators will face a Dh10,000 fine if they will organize, hold, or gather mass celebrations.
A Dh5,000 fine will be imposed to anyone attending those gatherings.
