A top-ranking official has assured the public that Dubai is ready to assist individuals who have lost their jobs and have been fined after they were unable to leave the UAE because of travel restrictions.
Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, stated that they consider these situations as humanitarian cases and that they are ready to help facilitate the travel of affected individuals back to their home countries.
“The humanitarian cases department at the GDRFA in Dubai handles each case individually. We will facilitate each person’s travel procedures for them to return to their home countries,” said Maj. Gen. Al Marri during the first #AskDXBOfficial series launched by the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO).
