The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has announced that the UAE government has given a one-time grace period renewal for holders of expired tourist/visit visas.
The latest amendments will now allow individuals whose visas have expired from March 1 onwards to stay legally in the country after the initial grace period of up to August 11 for up to 30 more days while they prepare to exit the country.
“As per the last amendments, it has been decided to grant entry permits and visit visa holders inside the country a period of one month (30 days) to leave the country. The grace period is renewable one time by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship,” said the announcement.
