The Philippines Partnership Circle (PhilPac) gathered several experts in different facets of leadership, technology, health and more in its event titled ‘Paraluman: Beyond Beauty’.
The series of talks sparked insightful exchanges amongst its multicultural panel and over 50 global women leaders and changemakers in attendance, under the theme: Women enriching a world where diversity and inclusiveness are embraced, where differences are celebrated and valued,” as part of the celebrations of the International Women’s Month in March.
In attendance were Hon. Eduardo Martin Menez – Assistant Secretary, Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Public and Cultural Diplomacy as the keynote speaker, together with Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates H. E. Amb. Hjayceelyn M Quintana, as inspirational speaker.
Marlene Murphy, president of PhilPac, hopes that the talks will open opportunities to start the conversation as to how women and the community as a whole could collaborate to make a much-needed change not only during the celebrations that highlight women empowerment, but more importantly – for this to continue to take place through collective thoughts, interactions, and actions every single day.
“A Paraluman is a woman who is living the best version of herself. A queen who has fully found herself and embraced it. She speaks to herself and others with kindness and love. A queen is not perfect nor a celebrity that others feel inferior to. She is uniquely her, and that is what makes her the role model that she is, powerful and graceful, a true Paraluman,” said Murphy.
