Apple Inc. has launched on Thursday its new Airpods Max, a set of wireless headphones worth $549 or more than Php27,000.
The freshly released headphones are pricier than some of Apple’s popular phone and tablet products. The tech company hopes that the sale from the AirPods Max will boost the company’s sale in December.
The new AirPods, which will have up to 20 hours battery life. It creates a seal around the ear and is are capable of delivering higher audio quality than in-ear devices.
It also contains nine-microphones and two H1 chips, Apple’s custom-designed audio processor. This means that its microphones can reduce wind noise on phone calls, provide noise cancellation and also adjust audio levels in real time using microphones inside the ear cups.
The AirPods Max model will compete with high-end headphones such as Bose’s Noise Cancelling 700 units.
