Things to bring on a camping trip

Whether you’re doing it on one of the islands in the Philippines, or in a desert in the UAE, camping is something that you should greatly prepare for. It’s not as simple as setting up tents and bonfire (which, we tell you, are definitely not simple!), and calling it a day. Camping is a lot more complicated than that and truth be told, if you haven’t prepared all the other things apart from your clothes and your temporary hut, you’re up for one heck of a chaotic and annoying trip.
If you’re already planning on going on a camping trip, make you sure you pack these must-bring items with you:

Hammock
A hammock is a great breather for when you just want to get out of the tent yet still want to feel comfortable enough. It’s good to set up a hammock to enjoy the scenery as you take in the fresh air.

Sleeping bag and pad
There are so many sleeping bags today that have comfort ratings based on temperature. Whatever you decide to buy, make sure you invest in one that is suitable for most seasons.

Medicines or first aid kit
If you’re camping in an island or in a desert, there is like a chance there won’t be a medical facility near your area. Make sure you bring enough medicine for allergies, body aches, flu, as well as insect repellants.

Trekking shoes or boots
Make sure your shoes are comfortable because camping can also involve a lot of trekking outdoors.

Cooking equipment
Just because you’re camping doesn’t mean your food is going to be cooked in a bonfire. Make sure you bring good camping equipment like a stove to ensure good quality of the food.

Clothes good for the weather
When camping, style is not the only criteria for the type of clothes you’ll be bringing. Make sure you research on what clothes are appropriate for the weather. Thermal jackets and scarves are two things you should always consider bringing because nights outdoors can be chilly.

A multi-purpose tool, knife, or a pair of scissors
Perhaps one of the most important items to bring on camping. Having this ensures you can survive the wild.
