Ilocana mom is this year’s Mrs. KKB Dakilang Ina winner

DUBAI: A mother of two from Quirino, Isabela, who has been in Dubai for about a year working as domestic helper is the bearer of this year’s Mrs. KKB Dakilang Ina crown.

Thirty-two-year-old Evelyn Pascual, who hails from Quirino in Isabela bested 11 other candidates in this year’s edition of the beauty pageant held in honor of household service workers from the Philippines working in Dubai.

“Nag-abroad ako para mabigyan ng magandang kinabukasan ang aking mga anak,” Pascual said.

Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes graced the event.

The other winners were Rubilyn Morfe Jayona of Dingalan, Aurora, 1st runner-up; Rizza Bagne Serrano of Baler, Aurora 2nd, runner-up; Geraldine Alomondian of Iloilo city, 3nd runner-up; and Elvira Antonares Gubatubatin of Bacolod, 4th runner-up;
