A Grade 8 student was made to kneel on salt and gravel by a teacher in Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.
The student was punished after he was caught laughing during a mass in their school, GMA News reported.
The student’s mother was angered and hurt towards the school administration.
“Gaano ba kalaki ang kanyang kasalanan. Kung ganyang activity lang naman, ‘di ba pwedeng i-suspend ‘yung bata?” she said.
Witnesses related that the teacher brought the erring student to an empty classroom after hearing him laughing.
The family of the student has decided to file a case against the teacher.
