A hotel in Davao City was lauded by netizens for opening an on-the-job (OJT) training program for people with special needs.
In a Facebook post, GreenWindows Dormitel in Davao shared some photos of their trainees doing various tasks at the hotel while being guided by other employees.
“Meet our OJT’s as they experienced their first ever job training here at the Hotel,” the post’s caption read.
After spending ten days training at the hotel, the trainees’ efforts were recognized during the graduation ceremony.
An inspiring video was also released by the management showing the experience of the trainees during their time with the hotel.
The video aims to spread awareness on respecting people with special needs.
“They can lead a normal life. Never doubt their abilities. Don’t count chromosomes, never doubt their talent,” the video states.
