Filipino broadcaster Karen Davila and singer Lyca Gairanod celebrated their birthdays together to promote community service for those in need.
Earlier in Karen’s past vlog the broadcaster’s reaction to Lyca when the latter revealed that they have the same birthday became viral on social media. Karen promised the young singer that they will be celebrating the day together.
Karen said in her birthday vlog that she didn’t want it to be about her and Lyca and rather they spent time among people. ” But we wanted it to be about other people. May pandemya po tayo ngayon and what we want to do is help people and give them gifts.”

The duo handed over bicycles, mobile phones, pocket wifis, and shirts, among other items to the residents of Lyca’s barangay in Cavite and also prepared sumptuous food for everyone.
Television host Gretchen Ho and YouTuber Small Laude also joined the celebration. On the occasion, Lyca also offered a musical performance for her visitors.
Karen said that there was “so much to be grateful for, my kids, my family, lahat po kami, we are safe.” (AW)
