John Lloyd Cruz disowns Facebook account, cries foul over viral posts

Actor John Lloyd Cruz sets the record straighht and said that he does not own any social media accounts including a verified Facebook page under his name.

The said Facebook page went viral after it gave an advice to young actor Joshua Garcia.

In a statement sent to Pep.ph, Cruz hits news organization directly quoting and attributing the post of the said Facebook page to him.

Cruz asked for help including actress Maja Salvador to spread the information that he does not own any social media accounts.

Cruz also slammed the owner of the said Facebook page and said that they don’t have the right to use his name and photos.

“AKO PO AY WALANG KAHIT ANONG SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT. WALA PO AKONG FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, TWITTER, MySpace, Friendster or Tumbler etc,” Cruz said.

The actor also warned his fans that he does not own the photo sharing app Lyka.

“HUWAG PO KAYONG MAGPALINLANG. HUWAG PO KAYONG MAGPALOKO. Marami na hong peke sa mundo. Huwag na po nating dagdagan,” he said.

The issue began when news outlets picked up the said quote from Cruz’s alleged FB page after the music video ‘Paubaya’ starring Garcia and Julia Barretto went viral.

“One day everything will fall into place just the way it should be. So until then, don’t focus too much on the confusion. Just focus on improvement and betterment. Create a great life for yourself Joshua Garcia,” the post said.
