Youtube star Ivana Alawi has opened up about her memorable experience with a veteran television host and how that experience traumatized her during her early years in show business.
In her latest vlog ‘lagot or sagot’ challenge, Ivana was asked if she had an experience fighting with a celebrity.
“Wala akong nakaaway. May nang-away sa akin. Pero ako, never ako nakipag-away sa kahit na sinong artista. Kasi kailangan mo rumespeto at kailangan mo makisama sa showbiz world and everything in the world,” Ivana said.
Ivana started that by recalling her previous experience with ABS-CBN. She was then a newbie in the teleserye ‘Sino ang May Sala’.

“Nag-i-start kasi ako noon sa ABS. Nagte-taping taping. Nandoon ako sa ‘Sino Ang May Sala?’ tapos nagkaroon ako ng parang guesting. Doon ‘yon sa ABS, nagte-taping. Tapos nakaupo lang ako sa dressing room. Marami kami roon kasi parang sama-sama kami sa dressing room na ‘yun,” she said.
She, later on, said that her assistant tried to borrow a chair so that she can sit next to her.
“Lumabas siya tapos may nakita siyang upuan doon sa labas. Nagpaalam naman siya doon sa tao sa loob. Sabi niya, ‘Puwede bang makiupo lang?’ para malapit lang sa akin, as in tapat lang kasi siya. So sabi ng tao sa labas, ‘Oo naman sige, upo ka.’ So umupo siya roon. Nag-aantay siya kung tatawagin na kami o ano. …Tapos biglang may sumugod na batikang host,” she said.
Ivana was surprised because she was a fan of the veteran TV host.
“Sumugod siya. Palagi ko siyang pinapanood noong bata ako kaya idol na idol ko siya. Noong nakita ko, parang napangiti ako tapos parang pinagsisigawan niya ako roon sa dressing room sa harap ng ibang artista. Tapos parang sabi ko, ‘Hala!’ Tapos sabi niya: ‘You! Why is your (personal assistant) in my room, ha? Bawal kayong pumasok sa dressing room ko. Bastos.’ Ang dami niyang sinabi,” she said.
Ivana said that she even apologized to the TV host.
“Tapos naalala ko ‘yung reaksiyon ko noon, ‘Sorry po, sorry po.’ As in sorry ako ng sorry. Tapos sobrang na ano ako kasi parang sa harap ng ibang artista, sobrang ipinapahiya ako as in,” Ivana said.

The vlogger said she was humiliated in front of other stars.
“Ako ‘yung inaway. Then hiyang-hiya ako noon. Umiyak ako noon tapos tumawag ako kay mama. Ang sabi niya, ‘Okay lang ‘yan. Hayaan mo na.’ Kasi wala naman talaga akong mali. Kaya hindi ko maintidihan bakit ako ang pinuntahan doon at pinagsisigawan sa harap ng ibang artista. Pero siyempre you still have to show respect and you still have to be professional,” she said.
Ivana refused to name the TV host but gave a clue that starts with the letter ‘M’.
“Letter M, host ng ABS,” she said.
A number of netizens speculate that it was the former It’s Showtime host Mariel Rodriguez. (TDT)
