Asia’s Songbird is gearing up for her upcoming ‘Iconic’ concert with megastar Sharon Cuneta.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid gave an update on preparations for her two-night concert.
“Siyempre excited ako bilang alam niyo naman na Sharonian ako. I’m also excited for the repertoire na inihanda namin for everyone,” Velasquez said.
The Songbird added that fans can expect things that she and Mega will do for the first time.
“Maraming kaabang-abang kasi, first of all, maraming first time na gagawin namin ni Mega. At saka si Mega hindi siya lagi nakikipag-back to back, so it’s such a privilege for me to be doing this concert with her,” Velasquez added.
And Velasquez explained why she needs to lose weight ahead of her concert.
“Kasi alam mo tuwing magko-concert, I really need to be fit. Siyempre kasi mahirap mag-concert kaya lang unfortunately kapag nagko-concert ako dati, kasi wala pa akong ‘ASAP,’ hindi pa ako kumakanta, once a year lang ako kumakanta para mag-concert so nahihirapan ‘yung boses ko. So after lagi akong tumataba kasi nag-steroids ako,” Velasquez said.
