After the overwhelming reactions of their fans, South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo has finally aired her side about their divorce with her husband Korean actor Song Joong Ki.
In a statement released by her agency United Artists Agency (UAA), “differences in personality” was the reason of the split of Korea’s big star couple.
“The reason was because of their differences in personality. The two were unable to overcome their differences, which led to this decision,” reads the statement.
It added, the two went to careful consideration before their decision and now asking for understanding from their fans as they cannot divulge further details so as not to compromise the actors private lives.
The agency also asked the public to “refrain from leaving provocative or speculative comments” regarding the matter.
Many of their fans were devastated after Song Joong Ki’s agency announcement that he is divorcing her wife.
The #SongSong couple began their romance during the top rated Korean drama Series “Descendants of the Sun” where they are both the lead actors. In October 2017, the couple married in Seoul, South Korea.
