Benedict Mique, who directed “ML,” fulfilled his promise of delivering the Best Actor Trophy from the Gawad Urian award held Tuesday to seasoned actor Eddie Garcia.
This is Garcia’s third Urian award. In a facebook post, Mique shared a photo of Garcia’s holding his Best Actor award in hospital bed.
“It was an emotional situation, we were all happy and sad at the same time. We were also hoping that he can hear us when we spoke to him,” Mique told CNN Philippines.
Garcia remains in critical condition and shows ‘minimal brain activity”.
In its latest medical bulletin, the Makati Medical Center said Garcia remains dependent on his ventilator as well as medications to support his blood pressure.
“His latest electroencephalogram (EEG) study showed minimal brain activity,” the bulletin said.
