Kris Aquino withdraws qualified theft charges vs Nicko Falcis

Social media personality Kris Aquino has decided to withdraw the qualified theft charges she filed against her former project manager Nicko Falcis at the Prosecutor’s Office in Mandaluyong City.

Entertainment news website PEP.ph shared a photo of the resolution from the Prosecutor’s Office signed by Lourdes Javelosa Indunan, senior assistant city prosecutor of Mandaluyong City.

It is stated in the resolution that it was in March 23 when Aquino decided to withdraw her complaints.

“As prayed for, in view of the Motion to ‘Withdraw Complaint’ dated 23 March 2019 filed by complainant, the above-entitled complaint is deemed withdrawn,” the resolution reads.

It was no longer explained why Aquino decided to withdraw the case.

To recall, Aquino filed several counts of qualified theft against Falcis in seven cities in Metro Manila namely Mandaluyong, Makati, Taguig, Quezon City, Manila, Pasig, at San Juan.

This stemmed from the accusation that Falcis siphoned off money worth P1.2 million from her production company, Kris Cojuangco Aquino Productions (KCAP).

Since then, the Prosecutor’s Office in Pasig, Makati, and Taguig have dismissed her complaints.

However, Taguig prosecutor filed estafa and credit card fraud against Falcis and arrest warrant was issued against him.

As of press time, the Prosecutor’s Office in Manila, Quezon City, and San Juan have not yet filed their resolution.

Neither Falcis nor Aquino has addressed the latest report on their highly publicized legal battle.

Aquino has earlier announced that she will be taking an indefinite leave from social media.
