Television and social media personality Kris Aquino made a lot of revelations when she posted a Facebook live video to call out her former partner and the father of her eldest son, actor Philip Salvador, after he participated in a “hurtful” skit with senatorial candidate Christopher “Bong” Go.
It all started when Go said in jest during a campaign rally of PDP-LABAN that Salvador, who is nicknamed Ipe, had “fooled” Aquino.
“It really hurts. The hurt there comes from being made a joke of. And I am not blaming Bong Go. This is on you, Phillip Salvador. Tatay ka ni Josh,” she said referring to their 23-year-old son.
“Sana naisip mo, that line — ‘Naloko mo si Kris Aquino’ — what does that make of your son? Produkto siya ng panloloko?” she added.
At one point of the said video which lasted for over 20 minutes, Aquino recalled the beginnings of her relationship with Salvador back in 1994 when they were shooting the movie “Nandito Ako”.
She said that she fell in love with Salvador on set and decided to leave her family to move in with him.
Aquino did not mention it directly but made it clear that her family was against her relationship with Salvador. She said that there was a time when her mother, former president Cory Aquino, warned her about him.
“It is very hurtful kasi sinabihan ako ng Mom eh, ‘Don’t you realize kay Philip Salvador, you’re only a trophy,'” she said.
““I was 23 years old when the relationship started. How many times did I hear, ‘Naka-isa si Ipe,’ ‘Siya ang naka una kay Kris’? Yes, totoo ‘yon, I was a virgin, and I got pregnant, and I left my family. I chose him,” Aquino added.
However, she said Salvador had vices and an affair, but she chose to not think about those things because she loved him.
“I turned a blind eye to the gambling, I turned a blind eye to the nights na hindi ma-explain kung bakit hindi umuuwi, kahit alam ko alam na ang shooting,” she said.
She decided to dig up more issues about their past relationship said that Salvadallegedlydly had an affair with actress Rosanna Roces.
“Sampal din sa mukha ko nung dinitalye ni Rosanna Roces ‘yung affair nila habang kami pa mag-asawa,” she said.
However, Aquino decided to take the blame since she was the one who loved the wrong man.
She also said that Salvador has not financially supported their now 23-year-old son Josh and that they last time he saw him was in 2012.
“Gusto ko lang sabihin na sana naisip lang ninyo na in the midst of your campaign, there is a 23-year-old boy that is special. Who is autistic. Who watches you. And I am directing this message to Phillip Salvador,” she said.
Aquino said that she refuses her son to be the topic of any jokes or skits because he has done nothing to hurt anyone.
“I deserve that, I made the mistake of falling for you. I made the mistake of loving you. You did not love me. Because had you loved me, 20 years after hindi ako magiging biro, sa isang skit, sa bawat entabladong inaakyat mo,” she said.
