WATCH: Angelica Hale earns standing ovation on “AGT: The Champions” finals

Filipino-American Angelica Hale took the stage during the finals of the US talent competition “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”.

“AGT: The Champions” is a spin-off of “America’s Got Talent” wherein winners, finalists, and notable acts from previous seasons and other Got Talent franchises all over the world would compete against each other.

It can be recalled that Hale made history by becoming the first “America’s Got Talent” contestant to earn two Golden Buzzer wins during the auditions.

Due to the Golden Buzzer that was given to her by judge Howie Mandel, she automatically advanced to the finals and performed a powerful cover of Shontelle’s “Impossible”.

After her performance, she earned a standing ovation from the judges, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Mandel.

“Angelica, you are living up to your name of being an angel. The song lives up to its name, you know, impossible. You’re only 11 years old, I don’t know hoe the 50 states can choose a winner. You are wonderful,” Mandel said.

Mel B, who did not like Hale’s audition as much as the other judges, said that the young singer has improved a ot.

“I have to say that was such an obvious improvement since we last saw you. And I can see how committed you were and how relieved you were at the end where you got everything right. It was absolutely brilliant. Well done,” she said.

Meanwhile, Cowell told Hale: “I said this to you and a lot of other people who have come back and compete again — to me, you deserve so much respect just for doing that because you showed me how much you really wanted this. Well done.”
