Miss Intercontinental Vietnam Ngân Anh Lê Âu became the talk of the town after 47th Miss Intercontinental after she allegedly copied Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
It can be recalled that after the Miss Intercontinental coronation night held on January 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena, pageant fans said that Ngân copied Gray from the gown and walk to the turn and the way she combed her hair with her hand.

After a few days, pageant fans said that Ngân copied more than just Gray’s evening gown performance.
Many of them noticed that Ngân’s wardrobe choices during the course of the pageant were also similar to the ones Gray wore during Miss Universe.
Because of this, many fans were not pleased and said that Miss Vietnam has no originality calling her a “copycat”. They said that beauty queens who join international pageants should present who they truly are instead of just copying someone else.
However, there were still some who defended Miss Vietnam and said that she was just taking inspiration from Gray.
As a response to the backlash she has received online, Ngân took to Facebook to share a message to all her bashers.
“For my bashers, thank you for your negativities to make me become a positive-minded person. Thank you for your hurtful words to make me stronger and be a reason for me to pursue my advocacy against cyber-bullying on the world stage,” she said.
Nevertheless, Miss Vietnam was named as one of the Top 6 finalists and finished as a fourth runner-up during the pageant. She also received the People’s Choice Award.
