Another Filipina beauty queen proved to the world that the Philippines is truly a powerhouse when it comes to pageantry.
20-year-old model and vlogger Francesca Taruc took home the crown during the Miss Tourism World 2019 Intercontinental Final held in Nanjing, China on January 8.
Aside from winning the crown, Taruc, who hails from Pampanga, also received the Best Body award during the preliminary competition of the pageant.
Representatives from Tatarstan and Ukraine were the pageant’s first and second runner-up respectively.
This isn’t Taruc’s first time to represent the Philippines in an international pageant. She first represented the country at the Miss Freedom of the World 2018 held in Kosovo last July 2018.
Taruc holds a Mass Communications degree from Holy Angel University (HUA) in Pampanga.
In one of her Instagram videos, Taruc reveals that she wants to be an actress and aspires to be a Miss Universe titleholder someday.
