Filipino fans of the Asian version of the well-known Top Model franchise “Asia’s Next Top Model” celebrated after the country’s representative made it to the top 3 of the show’s current season.
Filipina-British model Adela-Mae Marshall was among the top 3 finalists in “Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 6”, together with Taiwan’s Mia Sabathy and Thailand’s Dana Slosar.
Through an Instagram post, Marshall expressed her happiness and gratitude for making it far in the competition.
“LABAN PILIPINAS! Masaya ako na, sa wakas ay masasabi ko sa inyo’ng lahat na nagawa kong dalhin ang ating magandang bansa sa Top3 of #AsNTM6,” Marshall wrote.
She said that it was difficult for her to compete with the other models from different parts of Asia as they were all equally good, but she promised that she would do her best to win the Top Model title for the Philippines.
“Gusto kong pasalamatan ang lahat ng sumusuporta sa akin sa buong kumpetisyon. Hindi ko naisip na makakatanggap ako ng labis na suporta!” Marshall said.
If Marshall wins, it will be a back-to-back victory for the Philippines after Filipino-German model Maureen Wroblewitz was hailed as the winner during the show’s fifth season.
Wroblewitz won a Subaru Impreza, a cover and fashion spread in Nylon Singapore, and a modeling contract with Storm Model Management in London.
